This year the tournament also features categories including men’s and women’s 5-km and a 10-km mini marathon.
This is the fourth time for this event, which was firstly launched in 1994 in Lhasa, located over 3,100 meters above the sea level, while over 4,000 runners are expected to take part in the race.
The entry for the race is now open to marathon lovers from home and abroad and the organizers are welcoming gallant runners to get “high” in Tibet.
