The first tourism forum with grand canyon theme highlighted the fourth Lhoba Folk Festival which was held in Mailing, attracting many experts from Tibet University, Nyingchi Tourism Bureau, Tibet Tourism Co., Ltd., Yarlung Zangbo tourism company and related enterprises on May 31.
Participators from government, academia and enterprises expressed their opinions on building up Nyingchi as the national eco-tourism destination and increasing income of local farmers and herdsmen on this forum, which focused on sustainable development of tourism.
Meanwhile, Yarlung Zangbo scenic site with total investment of 194.7 million yuan have created 160,000 jobs, increased income of 9 million yuan for local citizens, and brought 4.1 million yuan financial income for local government in the past two years.
